Jan 30 – Overdose alert issued by Grey Bruce Public Health

Grey Bruce Public Health has received reports of at least four opioid overdoses in Owen Sound over the last 5 days.

People are at significant risk of overdose due to the highly toxic drug Fentanyl and/or Carfentanil found in the illicit drug supply.

Grey Bruce Public Health urges people who use drugs to do so as safely as possible by following Harm Reduction strategies.

You can help reduce risks by talking about harm reduction techniques with clients and peers, and sharing information about local harm reduction services. For talking points and other relevant resources visit the Community Drug and Alcohol Strategy website by clicking HERE.
